Airbnb has become the leading website within the home-sharing industry. However, if you're already hosting on Airbnb there are a number of other great vacation rental sites worth signing up with as well. And once you have a listing with great content and pictures it's fast and easy to copy it to other vacation rental sites. On this site we've made an overview of the top alternatives to Airbnb, sites with strong brand names that are fast, easy and most importantly absolutely FREE to advertise on:

Flipkey by Tripadvisor

Holidaylettings.

Wimdu (the European alternative to Airbnb)

Roomorama

Hotels, for example Hotelscombined or Booking.com.

Rentalo .

Homestay.

Rentivo - great tool making it possible for vacation rental owners to accept direct bookings

Lodgify - another great tool if you'd like to accept direct bookings

GuestHouser

Gay homestays and Misterbnb - gay friendly vacation rentals

Some good sites there, Jan.

I recently came across Accomable too which seems great for what is currently an under-represented market. Not sure of the cost (if any), but definitely one to watch!

We mentioned a few others on our list too :)

Thanks for the post Jan, good list.

The only other alternatives I can think of are the recent entries in response to Airbnb's racism issue:

  1. Innclusive.com
  2. Noirbnb.com
