Barcelona may be a world hotspot for tourism, but that doesn’t mean you can get away with renting out your property unregulated. One law that Barcelona put into effect was the Catalan Tourist Act, which states that any property rented out for less than 30 days has to be registered with the Catalan Tourist Office. Once it’s registered, the owner will be provided with a registration number, which they must show on their Airbnb listing.
